I had the privilege of representing the people of Guam and helping share the island’s powerful story and movement for independence with the world. A big part of my role was building real, lasting relationships—whether that meant connecting with potential Patreon donors or deepening ties with longtime supporters. I was always looking for ways to grow our community, strengthen trust, and create meaningful collaborations. I also played a hands-on role in dreaming up and developing projects and content that brought people closer to our mission and to each other.
I launched a special segment for the Fanachu! Podcast to highlight young Chamorro artists I admire and want more people to know about. From the start, I handled everything—creating social media campaigns to call for submissions, reaching out to potential guests, writing thoughtful interview questions, and editing each episode to make sure the final product was polished and meaningful. It was a passion project of mine rooted in connection, creativity, and community storytelling.

"Voices of the Diaspora" Zine Launch Party
I created Fanachu's first-ever zine, Voices of the Diaspora, to uplift Chamorros who, like me, live off-island and are navigating what it means to stay rooted to your heritage while far from home. I led the entire process—from dreaming up the concept and launching a call-for-artists campaign, to curating the final zine using Canva and hosting the Zoom launch party as well. The project brought together work from over 75 talented contributors - ranging from authors, artists, photographers, and chefs. Behind the scenes, I built a detailed Notion database to organize submissions, track artists, and manage how everything came together. This zine wasn’t just a publication—it was a love letter to the diaspora and a way to build community and pride among Chamorros around the world.
I collaborated with the host to create lore-based social media content that made Tolkien’s world feel accessible and exciting for fans. I also helped brainstorm creative, community-focused strategies to grow Patreon support—finding ways to turn casual listeners into loyal supporters through engaging posts, exclusive content ideas, and storytelling that stayed true to the heart of Middle-earth.
